Royal Command Performance!

At last night’s show in The Laneway Theatre, we were lucky enough to be joined by magic royalty as Penn & Teller popped in to see the show!

I don’t think I’d seen our cast as been as excited, or as nervous, before. But thankfully we weren’t out to fool then, just entertain them. Teller said they “had a great time and LOVED the Theatre.”

None of our audience knew Penn & Teller were coming either, and after the show the duo graciously posed for photos and signed autographs for everyone.

It was an incredible night as Tim Ellis introduced performances from Nick Kay, Lawrence Leung, Davide Kaufmann, Chi Han Yeo, Lee Cohen, Nicholas J Johnson, Josh Staley, Mr Marmalade, Anthony DeMasi, Dom Chambers, LJ, and our own FISM Grand Prix Winner, Simon Coronel.

It was a who’s who of Australian magic and an iconic moment marking The Laneway Theatre as the home of Australian magic.
